Welcome to The Summer of '97, an RPG based on the Harry Potter books by JK Rowling.
It’s the summer between Harry Potter’s 6th and 7th years at Hogwarts when he receives a letter from Headmaster Dumbledore. It reads:
Dear H. Potter,
You have been invited to join us at the Liggeri Telt Magi this summer. The Liggeri Telt Magi is a new project, the brainchild of many months of consideration and thought by the major Wizarding schools of the world. It is, simply, a summer camp. Not so simply, though, it is a summer camp designed to test one’s skills, knowledge and capabilities and to enhance one’s awareness of the magical world.
Select students of whom currently attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, ages 16 – 17 with exceptions, have been elected by their instructors to participate in this camp. These students are known to perform exceptionally in at least one area of study and many are remarkable in several. Over the period of 6 weeks this camp lasts, you will be educated in the many forms of magic and you will be placed in classes that not only include your specialization, but many others as well, all intended to test and challenge you.
When you arrive, you will be given a journal in which you are to record class notes and assignments. These journals are all magically connected, allowing for students to comment on and correct one another’s notes. The instructors will also have connected journals.
If you accept this invitation, please send your signed name as an RSVP with the owl. This letter will become a Portkey to the campsite on July 15th, at precisely 10:23 am. Hope to see you there!
Signed, Professor Albus Dumbledore
In the time that follows, Harry and his friends encounter many adventures, some of the magical sort and some of the personal sort but all revealing very much about themselves and others. By the time the new school year starts, who knows what will have occurred?
